The all important ideas of ways to raise pennies and pounds for Deno - every penny you donate or raise goes directly to Deno and his care.
Some of you have already been good enough to set up a standing order or direct debit - thank you as it really does make a difference to Ruth knowing how much is a definite sum that she can rely on each month.
If you think you could also contribute a regular amount as well, even if you can spare a pound a month, please go to the sponsorship page for details.
Donations are also always appreciated as they are a much needed help to boost the funds. All the details you need are at the bottom of this page.

An all year round gift that helps Deno.
Struggling with ideas for an awkward Aunt or difficult Dad....
what about an online Christmas or birthday gift sponsorship of Deno? For a minimum donation of £10, you or the person you want to receive the gift, and the knowledge you are helping Deno.....now isn't that better than a pair of socks or unwanted smellies !!!
You can print out the newsletters and photo's to give to your recipient.

Couple of fun ways to help - the Charity Sig girls on Ebay had Deno as one of their good causes. The signature tags didn't have to be Deno related, it's just Deno that got the dosh !! Donation was anything people could spare - the Sig Girls do it in their spare time and donating isn't compulsory, but whatever people gave went to the cause and added up until the end of the appeal, so it was like a savings bank for Deno - he got a nice boost to funds.
You could have something like this.......NO LONGER AVAILABLE

This was very successful and raised a very helpful amount of pennies for Deno, many thanks to all who contributed and to the Charity Sig girls for all their hard work.

Do you or your children like smarties ( surely most of us do ! ) as the empty tubes are the perfect size to fit 20 pences in and they soon add up. To give you an idea of the very real difference you can make by forcing yourself to eat smarties ( !!! ) a tube full of 20p's holds aproximately £10-12 and a bale of hay for Deno to nibble on costs aproximately £2.50, so 1 smartie tube feeds Deno 4 bales of hay, and at about a bale a week, that is a month of nibbling for Deno, so yes, YOU could have just made a very real difference.
![]() Many of you have done Ebay auctions and supported them by bidding on them too. It is always worth putting the keywords "Deno FHG" in the search box on Ebay to see what the latest goodies on offer are.
![]() Also for those of you who are able and willing to do Ebay auctions on his behalf, there are the MDCC ones each month that help raise interest as well as cash. The items don't have to be horse related, in fact, a wide range of items to appeal to new people would be good ( those unwanted Christmas gifts perhaps !! ). February 14th, yes, Valentines Day, is the anniversary of Deno's rescue, the day of hearts and pink things. Pink became associated with Deno as a joke when he was thin and Tracey offered to sew him a pink satin lining on his rug to stop it rubbing, then he had a pink bucket and it grew from there and now he has the pink horseshoes and border on this site !! So perhaps sell "pink things" ( or anything else of course ) in celebration to help Deno.
![]() Perhaps you could sell unwanted birthday or Christmas gifts in your local paper or on Ebay( please put Deno FHG in the title), and send the money raised to Deno. Wouldn't it be more satisfying doing Deno a good turn instead of leaving yet another pack of hankies, smellies, socks in the drawer, or the book unread or.......you get the idea. The present that you had to say "just what I always wanted" when you didn't want it at all could be turned into help for Deno...thank you. ****
There are a number of ways you can make a donation .....cheque, postal order, standing order or paypal.

If you'd like a receipt, please enclose a S.A.E, thank you. **** For all the fundraising that has been organised for him - it all takes commitment and time, yet it is done so willingly. That support is not taken for granted and really is appreciated far more than words can say, so here's a Deno kiss for you.
